The cost savings of pool safety covers
It is true that the upfront cost of a pool safety cover is higher than other pool cover options. But the savings you’ll experience in the long-term makes a safety cover a more cost-effective solution over the lifetime of your pool.
Safety covers come with 15-year warranties (compared to 5-year warranties for vinyl lock-in covers, which would need to be replaced twice over the same period). Vinyl lock-in covers also require a cover pump, around $150 per year, to pump off excess water, whereas safety covers don’t, as they use a mesh cover that allows water to drain directly into your pool.

A safety cover also allows rain and snowfall to collect in your pool, bringing it close to or at operating levels when you re-open. A vinyl lock-in cover will require a water top-up to get your pool up and running, costing up to $250 per year.
Safety covers can be hose cleaned, air-dried, and rolled up into their bag for easy storage. Vinyl covers need to be scrubbed and stored in water (with algaecide) when not in use to prevent them from shrinking or becoming brittle. A large garbage can is the preferred method of storage.

Simple installation for safety pool covers
The kit for safety pool cover systems makes installation a breeze. Our installation team will drill the anchors into your deck, waterfall, or concrete or add tubes to your garden to secure the cover. When not in use, you can thread the anchor down, so it sits flush with the ground, and when you need to put your cover on, you can thread the anchor up to hook onto the matching spring.
An installation bar enables you to quickly hook on or take off the springs from the anchors, and the bar also provides extra tension, getting the tightest possible fit of the cover so it sits perfectly flush across your pool.
To open your pool for the season, you need to unhook the springs one by one using the installation bar, roll up the cover, and store it away. To close the pool, thread the anchors up, hook one side of the cover on, and then proceed to hook the other side of the pool. Using the installation hook, hook all of the springs into the anchors. The entire process takes just minutes.

A safety pool cover is miles ahead of the competition when it comes to its durability. The seams on the cover are reinforced with box stitches that provide incredible strength and longevity. A double-decker edge feature helps deal with difficult corner spots on pool covers. This feature hems the entire periphery of the cover and places it between two layers of webbing. Most safety pool covers also come with high abrasion and tear resistance that is backed by a 15-year warranty.
While it does require an up front investment (which pays for itself over time), a safety pool cover is clearly an easier to use, more durable and safer option when it comes to pool covers.

Lastly, a pool safety cover provides safety and peace of mind for pool owners. The cover is pulled tightly across the pool, allowing it to hold a significant amount of weight per international quality standards. It is NOT recommended to ever walk on a pool safety cover; however, in an emergency, they can hold the weight of an adult, child or pet.
