7 Essential Hot Tub Accessories
Your hot tub is providing you with endless hours of relaxation and enjoyment with family and friends. But maybe you feel like your hot tub could use some pizazz or further enhancements. We've compiled our top hot tub accessories that will take your spa experience to the next level.
Hot Tub Stairs and Handrails
A bit of a no-brainer. If you don't already have them, hot tub stairs will provide you with the safest and easiest way in and out of your tub. There are many types of hot tub steps in different styles, with added features like internal storage, non-slip surfaces, and built-in handrails. Handrails are a great addition and help prevent falls when your legs are wobbly from all that relaxation.
Filter Cleaning Tools
If you've cleaned your hot tub filter, you've probably realized how painful it is to get all that dirt and debris out with a tap or hose. Luckily, there are handy tools explicitly designed to get all of that trapped dirt out. For example, the handheld Wand Cartridge Filter Cleaner cleans multiple pleats simultaneously with no splashback. All you must do is connect it to your hose and press the 'on' button.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy (or essential oil therapy) is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote physical and emotional wellbeing. Humans have used aromatherapy for thousands of years for medical and religious purposes. So why not add it to your hot tub experience? When purchasing essential oils or crystals, make sure that they are made for use in hot tubs. You don't want to ruin the pH of your water, make it cloudy, or clog the lines. Plus, you can indulge and invigorate your senses with a variety of aromas!
Oil-Absorbing Sponges
Oil-absorbing sponges are self-explanatory. They work to absorb oils and lotions that build up on the waterline of most hot tubs. Unfortunately, the oils and lotions we use to moisturize our skin are also the nasty culprits of foamy water and changes in pH levels in our hot tubs. To properly remove these oils, just add the sponge to the water in your hot tub when you're not using it. The sponge will work to absorb and trap the oils and lotions on the water's surface. Problem solved!
Spa Caps
Spa caps are made from durable fabric and protect your hot tub and its cover from the elements (sun, rain, snow, frost). They are inexpensive additions and can add years to your cover's vinyl fabric. Spa caps can also save energy and retain heat loss, saving you money on your bills. And they're easy to fasten onto your cover, as they have elastic hems and come in a variety of sizes.
Cover Remover
Protect your hot tub and your back with a hydraulic cover remover. Hot tub cover removers extend the life of your hot tub cover by protecting it from scuffs and rips when you store it on the ground. And they require relatively little clearance from nearby objects. Without a cover remover, you risk straining your back as it is no easy task to get a cover on and off! Add in moisture build-up from ground storage, and you need a heavyweight champion to lift that thing.
Bluetooth Waterproof Floating Speaker
Electronics in your hot tub water? Sounds unsafe. Luckily our technology has come a long way, and there are plenty of waterproof, splashproof, shockproof, and damage-resistant options for floating speakers. You can even get speakers that light up to add a little extra ambiance to your tub. Bring your hot tub party to the next level!
